Kouri Island is a 2 hour drive from Naha airport. On the way you’ll drive over the Kouri Bridge, which is 2 kilometers long and spans the stunning blue seas of Okinawa.
The island is made up of traditional Okinawan houses and sugar cane fields, and believe me, it is quiet out here. Villa Dela Sera is located on the highest point of the island. Amazingly, the hotel has only 2 rooms, and each allows only 2 people, making it one of the smallest hotels around.
Additionally, only people over the age of 16 can stay, so it’s more of an adults-only hideaway. There is no other hotel that’s quite as nice for those who just want to relax in peace and quiet without distractions from other guests.
A private pool overlooking the sea
Featuring canopy beds, a chest, and a sofa made from wisteria, the hotel boasts a well-designed, chic interior. The most important part of the room though is the private pool with a view of the Kouri Bridge and the ocean! The pool is located in the outdoor lawn area, which also has beach beds, so you can swim or just lie down anytime you want. Feel free to relax and float in the pool, watch the sun rise, or count the shooting stars without worrying about prying eyes. It’s truly a luxurious experience. In the winter they heat the pool so you can take a dip even when it’s cold outside.
A flower bath with an ocean view
The lawn has a bathtub which also looks out on an ocean view. A tub of floating flowers and an aroma pot immerses you in an intoxicating mix of warm water and stimulating scents. It’s an ideal experience that all couples should experience at least once.
Have breakfast anywhere you like!
The breakfast that comes with the room includes fresh baked bread, eggs, soup, fruit, homemade mayonnaise, and freshly squeezed fruit juice. You can have them set up your meal poolside, on the terrace, or anywhere you like. It’s so nice feeling the sea breeze as you eat that you’re likely to overeat! You can even make a reservation to have dinner brought to your room, so you won’t have to step out of the hotel all day if you like.
