Ibiza is known the world over as one of the best-loved party destinations. Since the 1990s, Ibiza has been steadily growing as a hot-spot for DJs, tourists, entertainment businesses, and clubbing enthusiasts. One such venue that has really made its mark in Ibiza is the Ibiza Rocks Hotel.
The Ibiza Rocks Hotel is located in San Antonio, the well known party capital of Ibiza, and has risen to fame because it was the first hotel on the island to also double up as a gig venue. Bands such as the Kaiser Chiefs, Florence and the Machine, and The Libertines have all played here, so during your stay you may even rub shoulders with a celeb!
Convenient and adequate facilities
The hotel has a number of rooms overlooking the pool and terrace (which also doubles up as a gig space). There’s a 24-hour reception for any questions you may have, and an on site supermarket, where you can get delicious ice-cream to cool you down as you bask in the midday heat. Try the lemon cornetto! (from around 2 EUR or 2.2 USD). There’s a couple of pools - the Tropicana Pool, which offers a chilled out, Balearic vibe, or the Main Pool, where you can hear banging beats from the regular pool parties that are held every week.
The rooms are comfortable but basic, as most of the residents don’t spend much time in their rooms. This hotel is buzzing with energy and crowds, and you’ll hear some form of noise at all times. It’s fair to say that this hotel isn’t for those who like to be in bed by 11pm. It’s specifically designed for night owls who love to sleep by day and party by night, so don’t be surprised if it’s quieter in the day than at night!
VIP treatment for guests
When you arrive, you’ll be given a wristband. This allows you free entrance to the iconic Ibiza Rocks gig that is on every Wednesday. It’s also a nice souvenir for you to keep when you return home!
There’s also plenty to eat and drink at the hotel, with a diner and a Malibu bar, serving beautiful pina colada cocktails! A delicious slice of pizza will set you back around 7 EUR (7.7 USD).
Attend fantastic gigs for free
The gig space at Ibiza Rocks Hotel is the most impressive. A big stage is right next to the main pool, and attracts artists such as Pete Tong, Ed Sheeran and Jessie J. Every Wednesday, hoards of crowds line up and pay an entrance fee of around 40 EUR (44 USD) to see a well known artist take the stage at your hotel. But the best thing about staying at Ibiza Rocks is that you attend for free, and you can take a prime viewing spot, on the comfort of your own balcony if you like!
Basic but clean rooms
The rooms in Ibiza Rocks are small, basic, but clean and tidy. You’ll get a nice view of the pool and you can pay for air conditioning for usually around 25 EUR (27 USD) a week if you feel like you need to cool down from the heat! The rooms usually come with twin beds and your own ensuite bathroom. A balcony view is a must-have to get the best view of those crazy Wednesday night gigs. Rooms with a pool/gig space view start from just 250 EUR (274 USD), based on three sharing. There’s plenty of room types available, including a rooftop studio, one bedroom apartment and self-catering studios.
Have fun at daily pool parties
Lastly, how could we forget to mention those wild pool parties! For those of you who like to party 24/7, Ibiza Rocks hosts its own pool parties daily. DJs will come and play by the pool as you sunbathe, providing some Balearic beats as you top up your tan. These parties are included in the price of your booking, so you get more fun for your money!
A gem on the White Isle
There’s lots to see and do from the comfort of this hotel. You can buy tickets to all of the superclubs from the reception - ever fancied visiting Pacha or Amnesia? There’s also the famous Ibiza Rocks The Boat party that runs only a short stroll away from the hotel, as well as the independent Ibiza Rocks Bar, around the corner from the famous ‘Egg’ roundabout. Overall, Ibiza Rocks is a really vibrant hotel, and a place that’s great if you want to be right in the centre of all the action!
