The price for the rooms ranges from 28.00 AUD (20.83 USD) for a mixed 8-share dorm to 111.00 AUD (82.57 USD) for a private room with three beds. To get here you can book a shuttle from the airport directly to the hostel through Maze Backpackers; at 12.00 AUD (8.93 USD) each way, it’s cheaper and faster than taking the train.
Activities every day at Maze Backpackers
Maze Backpackers offers discounted tickets for many of the major attractions. You can get a 3-attraction pass for 45.00 AUD (35.00 USD), normally 60.00 AUD (44.63 USD). Maze Backpackers also has an entertainment director who schedules daily and nightly activities. Don’t miss their pancake breakfast on Thursdays, burger nights on Tuesdays, and the Friday night social at Maloney’s Hotel next door. They also schedule weekly morning walking tours and beer pong in the recreation room. If you just feel like watching a movie, there is a cinema room with a large screen TV for you to view, and there’s a dedicated movie night on Sundays.
Save money and cook in the commercial-sized kitchen
The kitchen is definitely the main attraction, with eight burners, two large deli cases, and plenty of pantry space to store your food. You can cook an excellent meal and save some money if you want a break from eating out. There are many pots, pans, and utensils to use. Eat your lunch or dinner at one of the eight picnic-style tables right outside the kitchen, or eat in the open-air room where there’s lots of natural light.
Stay in the heart of it all
Sydney is easy to get around when you stay at Maze Backpackers, with Central Station located a quick 5-minute walk away. Central is the main hub and will take you anywhere you want to go. You don’t need to walk far to get great food either. There are many restaurants right outside Maze Backpackers’ front door. Choose to get your morning breakfast at Coffee Jean, two doors down, and grab a Thai lunch at Thanon Khaosan, next door. There are many pubs to choose from for dinner or you can take the metro down to the harbor for a nice meal at sunset.
