6. Dig into the past at Tringalwadi Fort
Tringalwadi Fort is located in the Nashik district of Igatpuri and is part of the historic fabric of the area. The roads along the village of Tringalwadi were trade routes and in order to protect the trade routes, it was theorized that the fort was built. The caves that make-up part of the fort have been dated back to the 10th century. Despite its age, the fort was still used, to the extent that in 1636, Shahaji had to cede the fort to the invading Moghuls. They held the fort until 1818 when it was ceded again to the British.

Kalsubai Peak is a mountain peak in the Western Ghats and is the highest point in the entire state of Maharastra. The elevation of the mountain is 1646 meters (5400 feet) above sea level and is not only a place of great beauty but it is also culturally significant. The Kalsubai mountain is home to temples and a wildlife sanctuary so people from hikers and nature enthusiasts to worshippers flock to the area all year round. 8. See nature at Camel Valley
