Grand Junction is increasingly on traveler’s list of places to visit. With more and more Airbnb properties coming available, your lodging choices are numerous. For the budget traveler, these three homes offer clean, comfortable, and safe lodging in this high-desert paradise.
Why Grand Junction

Most travelers visiting Colorado don’t make it to Grand Junction. If they only knew how much the area has to offer this Western Slope city would be on their radar. The biggest attraction in the area is the Colorado National Monument. See towering red rock spires, colorful buttes, soaring golden eagles, and desert bighorn rams.
The Colorado and Gunnison Rivers cut through parts of Grand Junction before merging as one, giving this city its name. Float the Colorado River with local guides for those loving water adventures. Up on the Grand Mesa find miles of trails, fishing, and camping options. In winter hit the slopes of Powderhorn Ski Area. There are so many reasons to visit. Now you just need to choose lodging.
First, you have to decide where in town you want to be. Maybe you desire a location close to downtown for walkable access to several great restaurants, shops, and entertainment. Or you might want to be walking distance to Colorado Mesa University . Some travelers won’t care if the location is outside of comfortable walking distance to the city’s attractions. Once you know where you want your Airbnb to be located, the search can begin in earnest. Read on to see three Airbnb properties I’ve stayed at over the last year and deem worthy for budget lodging.
A positive experience
All three of the above properties are Super Host-rated and have a keyless-coded entry. Each of the three homes receives lots of positive comments for being very clean. There are a few other budget Airbnb properties in Grand Junction that weren’t included since I haven’t stayed in them yet. Thanks to Airbnb, visitors to Grand Junction now have several low-cost choices for quality lodging.
