While it may be one of the most beautiful cafes in the world and also one of my favorite buildings, New York's reputation is waning. Unfortunately, the service has not been living up to its name in recent years. Visitors may want to exercise caution when planning a visit.

If you would like a similar experience to the Anantara New York Cafe (similar prices, luxurious building, no km long queues), then my recommendation is the Parisi Passage. It's just 3 bus stops further down from the NY on Rakoczi Avenue.

Roman interest in Pannonia (present-day western Hungary) started during the early days of the Empire. The area was conquered in the 2nd half of the first century and turned into the province of Pannonia. The capital of lower Pannonia, Aquincum, was located in today's Old Buda and you can still discover a number of its traces.

We also have a street artist similar to Banksy (UK) or Yves Decoster (Azores), but do you know who creates these miniature guerrilla statues? It is none other than Kolodko. Most of the statues are strategically placed, each with its own story or a particular connection to the area, and they are free to look at. He's created over 30 in the past years, and you might stumble upon one here and there.

Remember to check out Heroes' Square during your stay in Budapest. View it during the day before you party at night, as it's the most magnificent square in Hungary. Most of it was designed and constructed in 1896 and it conveys the 1000-year history of the Hungarians in Europe.
