15. Swim in the refreshing Bribri Sparkling Waterfalls

Hidden in the little town of Bribri is the unspoiled Bribri Waterfall or Volio Waterfall. Because of how fresh the water is, you might encounter small fish harmlessly nibbling on you. This is a go-to place for locals, and you will see some who are brave enough to jump from the top of the waterfall to the deep swimming area below. There are two waterfalls here - the upper and lower side. Both are great areas to swim in. Take a 45-minute canoe ride to traverse the natural habitat of sloths: by the water, with numerous, leafy trees, and sturdy branches. To see them up close and to get detailed information about these creatures, go to the enclosed Learning Center and meet the knowledgeable guides. It is normal for sloths to exhibit tachycardia when meeting strangers, so be gentle with these adorable creatures!
