Koh Yao Noi is an island located an equal distance from both Phuket and Krabi. The island is accessible by ferry boats that leave from Bang Rong Pier in Phuket. While Koh Yao Noi does not have any particular landmarks that stand out, the island offers spectacular beaches that have changed little over the past 20 years. The island also won the World Legacy Award for Destination Stewardship from Conservation International and National Geographic Traveler for the numerous eco-friendly programmes and packages that are available.
Although the island has experienced some development, it still remains a quiet respite for visitors. Here are some fun things to do on the quiet island!
1. Koh Nok Island
One of the beautiful islands surrounding Ko Yao Noi, Koh Nok Island is perfect for a short hour or two visit. The sand is pure and clean as the island does not get too many visitors. A fantastic ocean view presents itself if you choose to climb up the hill! Great for people who love to island hop or want a good tan.
The water near Koh Nok Island is shallow and visibility is low so it’s not advisable to snorkel. Visitors of Koh Nok Island usually book a boat to bring them there or a kayak for them to paddle themselves.
