3. Casa Museo de Antonio Ricaurte
The museum house of Captain Antonio Ricaurte is curated in honor of Captain Antonio Ricaurte, the patriot of the Independence of Colombia and Venezuela. He is honored as the martyr of the Battle of San Mateo, where, in a turn of events, he blasted an enemy stronghold by burning himself in the blast. The museum pays homage to stories, photographs, medals and other curios related and belonged to Captain Antonio Ricaurte. 4. Casa Museo de Antonio Nariño

This is a small museum and the former home of Colombian patriot Antonio Narino, with historical artifacts and art. Here you can also see on display the oil paintings, acrylics, charcoals and sculptures of the famous Colombian painter, sculptor, and historian Luis Alberto Acuña. 6. Visit the House of the First Congress of the United Provinces

You can visit the House of the First Congress, where the First Congress of the United Provinces of New Granada assembled to draft the first laws of Colombia, following the cry of independence. The meeting took place in October of 1812 in this very house where famous politicians figures of Colombia such as Antonio Nariño, Simon Bolívar, and Camilo Torres were present.

7. Iglesia Parroquial

This parish church honoring The Lady of Rosary faces the main square Plaza Mayor, was constructed in 1608 under the orders of the Philip III, King of Spain and has barely transformed or aged ever since it was built.
