This charming B&B is located in the village of Habsburg, where you will also find the part-ruined remains of Habsburg Castle, the former seat of a dynasty that at one time ruled much of mainland Europe. During your stay at Chez Barbara you would be treated like royalty, as delicious home-made breads and jams are served along with a healthy continental breakfast spread. In addition, the owner keeps friendly, adorable dogs, which is as much of a selling point as most of us are likely to need! This rental will appeal to all nature lovers, as it is in the vicinity of numerous wonderful parks with excellent views of the Windisch area. Although a quiet, small village, nearby Kunzareal is a thriving community, and it is always worth a trip there in an evening, to soak in the atmosphere. The rental comes with WiFi, coffee-making facilities and much more besides, and for a small extra charge you can have breakfast served in the morning. The well-connected property is near the train station at Brugg, only 10 minutes’ by bus or if you want to walk, it’s about 20 minutes’ on foot.

This rental will put a smile on the face of anyone who books the room! As the listing points out, the decor is rainbow-coloured and the host is extremely friendly. The room has a small balcony which leads out to a tiny well-maintained garden. During your time at the rental, you may meet one or more of the guest’s pets, as she keeps cats and a dog. The host is happy to share her kitchen with you should you choose to use it. You’ll have access to free parking, if you come by car, and WiFi is included in the (very reasonably-priced) rental. Just 30 kilometres (18.5 miles) away, you’ll find Zurich, an excellent city for shopping and sight-seeing.
