Sauze d’Oulx is a commune in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont in Northern Italy. It’s only 80 kilometers (50 miles) from Turin and is at the foot of Monte Genevris. Its proximity to the slopes makes it the site for numerous skiing events including the 2006 Winter Olympics. It also makes up part of the Via Lattea, or the Milky Way skiing area along with the other villages. Now, it’s home to a large ski resort where visitors can spend their time on the slopes or just relaxing in the snowy environment.
