Virton is a municipality in the province of Luxembourg, southeast of Belgium. The area has a rich history which dates back centuries, although it’s only in the last century that Virton has really enjoyed prosperity. Some of Virton’s most popular sights include the Gaumais Museum, and the St. Lawrence Church at the center. Plenty of shops and diners surround the church, so there is no shortage of places to eat here. There are buses going around the region, and there is a train station just south of the center. You can also make some cross-border trips from Virton. Luxembourg city is just an hour’s drive away and the French commune of Longwy is half that distance. Interested in visiting?
