Exploring Jakarta's street food is a must during your visit. However, keep in mind that not all places are open at all times. If you're planning to indulge in local street food, it's recommended to steer clear of the fasting months from Ramadan to Idul Fitri, as the street food stalls are often closed during this period. The temple is related to Admiral Zheng He. It is also closely related to the acculturation of Chinese and Javanese culture.

This can be seen in the architecture of the building. The origin of the story is that it is called the Batu Building because of its shape - it is a large stone cave. Inside the stone cave, there is an altar and statues of Sam Poo Tay Djien (Admiral Zheng He) which are intended to serve as a place of prayer or pilgrimage.

Tamansari, also known as Ngayogyakarta, used to be the palace gardens of the Ngayogyakarta Hadiningrat Palace, similar to Taman Sari Surakarta and the Botanical Gardens in Bogor. It was built by Sultan Hamengkubuwono I (HB I) in 1758-1765/9 and was initially called "The Fragrant Garden." The garden, once spanning more than 10 hectares with various structures and features, was effectively used from 1765 to 1812. Today, only the remains in the southwest of the Kedhaton complex can be seen.

Even on a short 3-day trip to Jakarta, you can learn a lot about its history and culture. A few things I'd recommend you do here are checking out the Buddhist temples, going on excursions by the beaches, trying exotic food such as snake meat, trekking through natural terrains, and swimming by the waterfalls.

You can try all the popular restaurants for lavish dishes, but the absolutely lip-smacking, authentic taste of Jakarta can only be found along the streets. So, make sure to stop by various street food vendors for unique flavors.

Borobudur, nestled amidst the scenic beauty of Java Island, is the world's largest Buddhist monument. It sits gracefully on a hill, offering breathtaking views of green fields and distant hills.

Built between AD 780 and 840 by the Syailendra dynasty, Borobudur blends Gupta architecture with indigenous scenes, creating a uniquely Indonesian masterpiece. Covering around 2,500 m2 in the Kedu Valley, it boasts 2,672 relief panels and 504 Buddha statues, all without cement or mortar.

Today, Borobudur and Prambanan, representing Buddhism and Hinduism, are iconic landmarks in Indonesia, embodying its rich history and legends.

Kulon Progo is a district situated in the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Indonesia. Its capital is Kapanewon Wates. The district shares borders with Sleman Regency and Bantul Regency to the east, the Indian Ocean to the south, Purworejo Regency to the west, and Magelang Regency to the north. The name 'Kulon Progo' translates to 'west of the Progo River' in Javanese, with 'kulon' meaning west. The Progo River itself borders the district to the east.

Bandung, the capital of Indonesia's West Java province, is a sprawling city nestled amid volcanoes and tea plantations. Renowned for its colonial and art deco architecture, the city exudes a lively, university-town atmosphere. Situated at an elevation of 768 meters, Bandung enjoys a relatively cool tropical climate. Beyond its architectural charm, Bandung is a vibrant shopping destination, with fashion outlets concentrated along Jalan Setiabudi and Jalan Riau in the Dago district.

The Cirebon Kingdom, a renowned Islamic kingdom with origins in West Java, was established during the 15th and 16th centuries AD. Serving as a crucial hub connecting trade routes between islands, the Cirebon Sultanate is situated on the north coast of Java, marking the boundary between Central Java and West Java. Positioned as both a port and a 'bridge' between Javanese and Sundanese cultures, the Cirebon Sultanate has developed its own unique cultural identity, known as Cirebon culture, distinct from both Javanese and Sundanese influences.
