This cheap homestay was first opened in December 2016, so the building and everything in it are rather new. The bed is more than big enough for two people. And there is an LCD TV with popular international cable channels available. So, even on the go, you can keep yourself up to date with your favorite TV shows. As a digital nomad, power socket availability is important for me. And they have enough for me to charge all of my gadgets at the same time. Plus, free Wi-Fi is available!
There are six rooms available. Each has the same rate of 300,000 IDR (approximately 22 USD) per night. If you’re looking for a long-term stay, you can save a good deal of money by paying the monthly fee of 7 million IDR (approximately 518 USD). Booking is available via phone or Whatsapp, which is given on their Instagram account. Walk-in booking is open every day from 9:00 am to 9:00 pm. However, you can check in anytime by notifying them via phone given 24-hour prior notice. All prices include a room cleaning service every three days, unlimited electricity usage, and self-service common room where mineral water, coffee, tea, and sugar are available for free along with all kitchen appliances for you to use.

Located on the main road of Batubelig, Bening House and Spa is only a few meters away from Batubelig Beach. This beach is quieter than Kuta and Canggu. If you’re looking for an open spot for your morning yoga routine or afternoon stroll, this is it. From the homestay, it is easily accessible. You can just follow the pavement leading towards the beach area without even crossing the street. And if Canggu’s hype is calling for you, get there from the corner of this main road to avoid traffic.
Right across Bening House and Spa, there is a money changer and a 24-hour convenience store in case you are craving snacks in the middle of the night. An ATM is also available at this store. And right next to the homestay, there is one of the top vegan restaurants in Bali, The Spicy Coconut. They serve some quick and simple plant-based food and beverages like breakfast, salad, and smoothie bowls. Other restaurants and shops are also available within walking distance from this cheap homestay.
What's on Batubelig Beach?
Who doesn’t love watching a good sunset at the beach? It is the ultimate relaxing, therapeutic thing to do while you are traveling to a tropical island. To me, a quiet surrounding with a little bit of reggae music in the air is the best addition to this activity, apart from a good, cold beer in my hand! And that is what I get from relaxing at Batubelig Beach.
Bening House and Spa also provides a good spot for you to enjoy Batubelig’s sunset. They have a cafe at the beach with a food truck concept, Batubelig Combi. As soon as you get to the beach, just look around for their Jamaican themed food truck. It is easy to spot!
They are open Monday to Saturday from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. And on Sundays, they are open from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. They serve bar food such as tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and fries. As for beverages, they have great cocktails, mocktails, and of course… beer!

The price for a full body massage starts from only 80,000 IDR (approximately 6 USD), which is a traditional Balinese massage for one hour. The full treatment package is bundled at 450,000 IDR (approximately 33 USD), which includes complimentary snacks and beverages. You will be pampered from head to toe for almost four hours! Once detoxed, relaxed, or rejuvenated, you can just head upstairs to your room and have the best nap of your life!
