Enjoy the cool tranquility, hospitality, and panoramic beauty of Mount Welirang at Pines Garden Resort! Located in Tretes village on the slope of Mount Welirang and next to a waterfall complex named Kakek Bodo (Bodo Grandpa), Pines Garden Resort is the place for those who want a true getaway from the busy city life.

Cool tranquility

Entrance of Pines Garden Resort

Apart from the waterfall, the Pines Garden Resort stands alone with no other structures in its surrounding area. The closest hotels and residential area are 200 meters away. This means that there is minimal traffic at night except for those which belong to the hotel’s guests (since the waterfall attraction is closed in the evening). With the cool climate at Tretes, this hotel allows one to indulge in cool tranquility.

Feel free like home

Friendly hotel staffs

Feel free like home! That’s the theme of Pines Garden resort, as you can see on its signboard at the resort’s entrance. The theme is not just a motto. As compared to other hotels in Tretes, this is one of the best hotels in terms of service. This three-star hotel has wonderful staffs. They are very welcoming, friendly and helpful, creating a warm atmosphere that makes you feel at home during your stay. This means that you will not want to leave this hotel anytime soon!

Different categories of rooms to suit different needs

Pool view from your room

The boutique hotel only has 31 rooms across 4 categories, namely Deluxe, Superior, Suite and Garden Suites. Room rates start as low as 42 USD. If you prefer a bigger room, you can consider the Superior room over the Deluxe, as both rooms have the same amenities except the former is slightly bigger. Suite and Garden Suite rooms are even bigger and include a set of sofa and dining table. Although both categories boost rooms of the same size and amenities, garden suites are conveniently located on the ground floor, right in front of a garden where guests (especially those with children) can hang out and play.

Since the room temperature is pretty cool during the day and “tolerably” freezing during the night (approximately 10 degree Celsius), you will not find air conditioning in any of the rooms. All rooms are facilitated with a balcony where you can see an amazing view. Not only will you see the hotel’s swimming pool, the hotel also presents you with a spectacular view of Mount Welirang from your balcony.

Enjoy a Chinese meal at Ilalang restaurant

Ilalang Chinese restaurant

The hotel has a restaurant called Ilalang, which is affiliated with a famous 5-star Chinese restaurant named Tong Hai (东海) Restaurant at Golden City Mall, Surabaya. Although breakfast that comes with the resort stay is pretty modest (no breakfast buffet like in many other hotels, serving only a simple ala carte menu like chicken fried rice), this restaurant offers a wide variety of Chinese food ranging from the typical sweet and sour fish (红烧鱼), fried rice, noodles and porridge! Besides Chinese food, this restaurant also serves simple Western food like French fries and sandwiches. If you are too lazy for a meal in the restaurant, you can simply call the restaurant and have your meal delivered right to your doorstep.

Swimming at Pines Garden Resort

Swimming pool at Pines Garden Resort

Pines Garden Resort features a beautiful pool where you and your kids can swim (there is a children’s pool too!). It would be a pity if you do not try out this facility. However, before you dip into the pool, you need to know that the pool water is very cold in the morning and this is not a heated pool. To avoid catching a cold, you are recommended to swim during the warmest period of a sunny day (11am to 3pm), when the water is being warmed up by the sun.

Proximity to other attractions

This hotel is pretty close to Safari Park 2 (15-20 minute drive), a park where you can see various species of wild animals from inside your car. It is also about the same distance to ‘Finna’ and ‘Taman Dayu’ golf parks. Pretty close, isn’t it? So, bring your family to stay at Pines Garden Resort. It is truly the place where you can enjoy tranquility, hospitality and great food!
