Anyone who is a fan of popular fairy tales, entertaining rides and awesome performances would do well to allow their curiosity to lead them into the Disneyland Park in Paris. Premium amusement and spectacular atmosphere at one side and superb organization at the other are the Park’s main hallmarks. Throughout the Disneyland Park, you can explore landscapes, plots and denouements of numerous fairy tales, and more. As you are about to find out, aside from the greatest amusement in the world, you are a part of the stories waiting to be unfolded. Four thematic areas – four conquests
Disneyland Park offers plentiful opportunities to get yourselves delighted beyond imagination, all of them separated into four main sections. Conquest of the Wild West awaits you in the Frontierland; embark on a journey of endless discoveries at the Discoveryland; be part of great adventures in the Adventureland; and relive the popular fairy tales in the Fantasyland.
The fifth section, known as the Main Street U.S.A., is a small likable American town of the 19th century. Here, you can indulge yourselves with shopping, attend a Disney characters parade, or take a ride in the prisoner vehicle.
The Frontierland
You’ll recognize the Frontierland by its appearance of a fort, with the Indian settlement outside of the defensive walls. The trademark of the Frontierland, and perhaps of the Disneyland Park rides, is the Thunder Mountain. This exciting, exhilarating and at moments scary ride brings you to the brink of the chasms, top of the mountain, and then into the depths of the mine; deflections are sudden and ninety degrees distortions frequent.
A place that accumulates fear is the Phantom Manor. Once a beautiful mansion, it has since been transformed into a haunted palace that unleashes horrors that only those who are bold enough would escape unscathed.
Those who are looking for a different kind of entertainment should head to the Chaparral Theatre. Various performances take place there and, for example, you can sing with your favourite Disney characters.
The Adventureland
Behind the walls of the desert fort, you can experience the life of a pirate in the Pirates of the Caribbean ride, or have fun on the Pirate’s beach that features play areas for young ones between 6 and 10 years old. Secret caves and pirate hideouts are nearby. If you crave for more nerve-testing experiences, head to the Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril ride. Don’t forget to visit the Aladdin’s passage, which tells the story of him and the genie from the lamp.

The Fantasyland
In the Fantasyland, popular stories are embodied. They feature attractive architecture from the fairy tales and exhibitions that shall guide you through the adventures of the Disney characters. Make sure to take a ticket at the designated location in order to meet the princess at the specified time. Take the brochure at the entrance, in which information is available.
Not to miss rides of the Fantasyland are Peter Pan’s Flight, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and The Land of Fairy Tales.

The Discoveryland
This futuristic section gives you ample possibilities to experience thrilling rides and adventures. If you are up to it, why not participate in a space discovery mission? Or you can take a ride in a Star Wars fighter that takes you to the Galactic battlegrounds. As a bonus, you can investigate the interior of Captain Nemo’s Nautilus, from the Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Sea.
Sleeping Beauty’s Castle
The structure that is located in the very centre of Disneyland Park Paris, drawing most glances due to its exceptional beauty, is Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. The marvellous facade is accompanied by an equally spectacular interior. Within, you shall be guided through the entire story of Sleeping Beauty by means of the stained glass windows, wall depictions, story-related objects (spindle, for example), books, etc. A touch of magic is also present; open your eyes widely so that you do not miss out!
You can make a choice on how to commence your entertainment in Disneyland Park, but there is only one real way to bring it to the end. And it is called Disney Dreams Show.
When the night falls, the castle and its surroundings become the setting for the crowning experience. It comprises the light show, music and several dancing geysers that go according to the melody. The performance lasts approximately half an hour. During that time, the castle suddenly becomes an enchanted forest, and it will transform into a burning wreck (you can feel the heat even if you are a few hundred meters away). Peter Pan, Mickey Mouse, Dumbo, Elsa, Little Mermaid and the pleiad of other Disney heroes make constant appearances during the performance, jumping from one tower onto the other.
Get organized
Disneyland Park disposes of all necessary facilities for the all-day sojourn. Toilets, ATMs, baby care centres, dining and storage facilities for the luggage… everything is available. Take the introductory leaflet once you enter the amusement park, as everything that you need to know is indicated there. Bringing food and drink, in general, isn’t allowed, but small quantities of water and snacks shouldn’t cause you any trouble.
Various parades and special events (parade of the Disney characters, Meet a Princess, Sing with your favourite character, etc.) take place throughout the day. Make sure to check the programme list for showtimes.
While you wait to embark on a ride (it might take up to half an hour, in rare occasions even more), there is a small chance to get bored. The introduction of the story by means of storyboards, various figures and items shall keep you entertained.
The waiting time for the chosen rides can also be shortened if you do not mind splurging more. Make sure to obtain the FastPass with your admission ticket (prices range from a few dozen to one hundred euros depending on the package). With it, find the machine next to the desired ride, take the FastPass ticket and come back at the specified time.
