Universal Studios is a famous amusement park located on the hills of Los Angeles. It also houses several cinematographic production studios of the company Universal pictures. It is the biggest American cinema studio still active in the world. If you are a fan of blockbusters such as Jurassic Park or Jaws, this is the right place to go!
Be amazed by the Universal City walk
Before entering the park, you will go through a “fake” Universal City filled with shops, restaurants and cinemas, which gives you a really surreal feeling. It’s amazing!
You can do some shopping or have breakfast before a busy day of fun.

After entering the park itself, feel free to roam about, as there is no particular direction or order to follow. The park is however divided into three levels by escalators. Exploring by levels is perhaps the most convenient way, but you can go around the park in the way you want to. There are a lot of souvenir shops, restaurants and, of course, attractions including a studio tour.
A one-day ticket costs 95 USD for adults (for children younger than nine years, it is 87 USD), which allows you unlimited entry to every attraction, including the studio tour. There are also special prices for groups, VIP passes, and annual passes.
Experience your favourite films with the studio tour
I recommend arriving quite early in the morning as it’s a big park and it becomes really crowded during the day. The studio tour can be found closest to the entrance, so it is more logical to start your journey there. During the studio tour, you are seated on a little train, which will go through 13 film scenes. The whole tour is guided and commentated by TV host Jimmy Fallon on a little television in the train. If you want some examples of studio scenes, read ahead, otherwise here are some studio tour spoilers: you can enjoy a battle of dinosaurs in 3-D (King Kong), you will even see very famous cars from Fast and Furious or from Back to the Future; you’ll go through a jungle as if you were in Jurassic Park, and I advise you to be cautious when you get close to Amity Island.

Laugh, yell or cry at the attractions!
You definitely should not miss the attractions at Universal Studios. Besides exciting rides, there are also slower-tempo attractions for the faint-hearted! The House of Horror is a must-see, but it is more suited to thrill seekers than children!
The “River Adventure Ride” is the Jurassic Park ride, and you will be completely immersed in the prehistoric era, surrounded by quiet dinosaurs. But be on guard, as a T-Rex is always roaming in the neck of the woods.
The most famous attractions are: the Mummy ride, Transformers ride (in 3-D), Krustyland, the Waterworld spectacle, and the Simpsons ride. The newest attractions are Fast and Furious and in April, you will be able to discover Harry Potter’s world.
Get some rest in Saddle Ranch Chop House
At the end of this busy and funny day, you’ll surely be tired. Saddle Ranch is conveniently located away from the crowd. Have a lemonade for 2.95 USD and enjoy a moment of relaxation in this “rustic” place. The restaurant serves lunch, dinner and brunch; it looks like a western saloon, and there is even a mechanical bull. Do you dare to take a ride on it?

Universal Studios of Hollywood is definitely a must-see if you come to Los Angeles. Everyone, and not only film lovers, will love this enchanting place and everyone will surely feel like a child again in this magical atmosphere.
