Before or after any long flight, you’ll want a chance to relax and stretch your legs. The Hilton Helsinki Airport hotel is the best accommodation choice for relaxation prior to a long trip. It has quality service and facilities that include a sauna and gym. Each room is thoughtfully equipped with a large bathtub and walk-in shower. The staff at the hotel are friendly and accommodating. Additionally, the Hilton Helsinki Airport is family-friendly and if you are travelling with children, you can expect a large crib, child’s training toilet, and playroom full of toys.

Read on to learn more about this great accommodation option.

Rejuvenate in comfortable rooms

Hotel Room

The rooms at the Hilton Helsinki Airport are large and comfortable, perfect for weary travelers to relax prior to the next leg of their journey. When you walk into the room, you’ll see a large bed, desk with two desk chairs (perfect for catching up on work or emails), and a large flat screen TV. Next to the bed are clever built-in bedside tables with plugs. This is convenient for charging your phone or laptop while lounging on the comfortable bed.

The room is also equipped with a hot water boiler, tea, and instant coffee. Winding down with a cup of tea prior to bed is a perfect way to relax before an early flight.

The bathrooms are very clean and have a walk in shower and a large bathtub. There are complimentary Peter Thomas Roth toiletries — I really liked the smell of the body lotion.

Kid-friendly amenities

Playroom

There are plenty of reasons to choose Hilton Helsinki Airport. In particular, its kid-friendly features makes it easier for parents traveling with young ones. Within your calm and cosy room, you may find a small rug that is great for a crawling baby to play on. A crib was set up in our room prior to our arrival and they also provided a small training toilet, which is great if you are in the midst of potty training.

In the lobby, there is a small playroom stocked with toys and coloring pages. Decorated thoughtfully with a rug on the floor and numerous soft pillows, this playroom is perfect for crawlers and toddlers or even older children as there is a table with coloring books.

The hotel staff were also incredibly accommodating. We arrived at the hotel several hours prior to check-in but they allowed us to check into our room early. Having a small baby, we really appreciated that. Although I can’t guarantee that this happens for everyone, this is just one example of how friendly and accommodating the staff at Hilton Helsinki Airport are.

Excellent facilities

Gym

The hotel’s facilities are designed for relaxation. Don’t miss the separate male and female saunas for the ultimate pre-flight relaxation. I can attest to the fact that the saunas are at a perfect temperature and the numerous showers to use afterwards are great. There are also plush towels and high-end Peter Thomas Roth toiletries.

To get your body moving before or after the sauna, try the small, but well-equipped gym, where you’ll find treadmills, weights, and yoga mats. The room is also equipped with TVs and drinking water.

Full-service restaurant and bar

Restaurant

On the main floor of the hotel, you’ll find Restaurant Gui, which is beautifully designed. Restaurant Gui serves sandwiches, burgers, and lighter fare. They also have a more expensive tasting option available for dinner. Although the food commands a somewhat premium price (as it is in the rest of Helsinki), the tasty flavors are worth it, plus it is really your only option in the area. I had a burger, which was cooked perfectly and my husband had a club sandwich, which he enjoyed. The meals were large in size. The restaurant also has highchairs for children.

Note that breakfast is not included in the price of the room.

Hi, my name is Ann, and I offer author’s Helsinki and Southern Finland tours in English to individual travelers, families, friend groups, and large groups. My style is educative and entertaining, so you will have a lot of facts presented in an easy, fun, and friendly manner. I am knowledgeable in various fields, but my tours are not boring history lessons. Instead, we will have a lively narrative and discussion, and I promise you will WANT to know more! I conduct all sorts of tours: sightseeing-, thematic-, tailored-for-your-interests, customized tours; walking and biking tours, and tours with the use of public and private transport. You name it! Whatever you select, I can assure you that you will have great memories when you are back home!

18 years ago, I moved from one beautiful city to another – from St. Petersburg to Helsinki. Back in St. Petersburg, I worked as a tourist guide, and following my passion for this profession, I studied for and received the authorized tourist guiding diploma in Helsinki as well. Through these years, my knowledge of modern life in Finland, the language, people’s mentality, traditions, culture, etc. has naturally deepened. All curiosities which make up Finnish culture, have become part of me, and Finland has become my dear, beloved home. As an international person living in Finland myself and having an international family (at home, we speak English, Finnish, and Russian), I would like to offer you a tour where I am going to tell you about Helsinki, its history and traditions, its modern vibe and the international diversity of it before and today. What is the place of Finland in this fast-changing world? Let’s talk about it, and compare it to your home country if you will.

My customers love the way I connect historical facts about Finland and the neighboring country - Russia. Having been an authorized St. Petersburg guide as well, I always find it fascinating to bring up some historical connections. Well, well… Finland was part of Tsarist Russia for a century, so there are loads of connections here. Now, due to the current situation, people don’t travel to St. Petersburg, but many, from my experience, are interested to know about the current state of affairs out there. Through my tours, you can get a touch of it too. Just IF you want.

My other occupation is a multidisciplinary artist, which is why on my tours I love to point out architectural details and all the man-made beauty of Helsinki. As a person who is very passionate about history, art, architecture, and overall – beauty around us and a person who loves to share her knowledge and inspiration, I also love to meet other cultures and exchange our knowledge about this beautiful and diverse world. So, come to have fun with me on my tour and get a touch of the old and modern sides of the atmospheric Helsinki city!

Contact me and let's plan your visit to Helsinki together!

On the first floor of the hotel, you’ll find free luggage carts, which make the walk to the airport easier when traveling with several bags. There is a covered walkway from the hotel to the terminals and it takes only about 5 minutes to reach the airline check-in desks.

A great transit hotel

You can expect a satisfying stay at the Hilton Helsinki Airport. Mine was excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly and their facilities promise to rejuvenate you before your next flight. I’d highly recommend staying a night at the Hilton Helsinki Airport — and don’t forget about their sauna!
