Rambler is a restaurant and bar in the hotel Zeppelin in San Francisco. It was founded by the Hat Trick Hospitality Group, comprised of Adam Snyder, Hugo Gamboa and Andy Wasserman, who also conceived Sabrosa, Redford and the Brixton. The bar exhibits a very luxurious appeal owing to the warm tones of the interior, leather seating, wood tables and textured walls. The place has a large wraparound bar occupying a separate space to that of the dining area and it seats 100 people in total. There is another mini bar, called the Zinc Bar, in the dining area with four seats. The cocktails are curated in-house and are seasonal. Chile de Arbol Chicken Wings and Braised Beef Short Ribs with Anson Mills Farro Verde are some of its special dishes.

Dirty Habit is quietly tucked away in an intimate corner in the fifth floor of the Hotel Zelos. Its decor has a film noir theme and there is a back patio with a large seating capacity, a fountain and also a firepit, which is the most favourite spot in the restaurant. Several seasonal cocktails along with classics are served here and is also well-known for its various options in alcohol, especially whiskey. The place has a very sultry ambience and is a cool place to hang out to grab a few quick bites, like the house-made bar nuts and chicken wings doused in sweet soy and chilli vinaigrette to go with your liquor.

The Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar in the basement of the Fairmont Hotel is a world-famous place, attracting people with its tropical decor, Polynesian fusion cuisine and rainstorms with faux thunder and lightning, while live music plays in the background by the Island Groove Band. There is a dance floor created from the remains of a schooner named the SS Forester, which also functions as the stage where the band performs. The restaurant is covered with beautiful tribal art and extends to its customers the charm and appeal of the past, which it has retained since 1945.

The Douglas Room is inside the Tilden Hotel and is known for its in-house cocktails, such as the La Di Da Di (vodka, grapefruit cordial, lime, ginger beer, and black lava salt served in a metal mug) and the Old and In the Way (bourbon, PX sherry, Suze, and stone fruit shrub in a Sazerac style), as well as their good beer and wine. The food consists of budget-friendly light and tasty American bites, including Lamb Tartare Pie, Sweetbread Nuggets with Ancho Reyes Barbecue Sauce, and Duck Wings. The bar displays vintage decor and warm wood accents.

Charmaine’s is on the rooftop of the Proper Hotel. There is outdoor seating with firepits that grant the bar a romantic aura, perfect for dates late in the night when the crowd begins to fade. It overlooks Market Street on the East and offers a gorgeous view of the city. Their hand-crafted cocktails, beer, and wine, in accompaniment with tasty bar bites, makes for a great night. Its interior decor is a mixture of both the traditional and the contemporary, rendering a retro-chic appeal to the bar.

The Redwood Room is a nightclub in the Cliff Hotel, established in 1934 and a favourite spot of several celebrities and big shots. Even though the interiors have gone through a vast makeover, the bar, known to have been carved from one huge redwood tree, still remains. The decor resembles a hunting lodge and a hospital operating theatre. There are plasma televisions that display a range of digital artwork, at intervals. The Clock Bar is so called because it shares the space with the historic Magneta clock in the lobby of the Westin St Francis. This place is cosy and elegant with leather banquettes, wooden furniture and candlelit tables. The cocktails here are made with high-quality spirits and seasonal ingredients.
