228 Peace Park is the place to be if you are looking for a less crowded place where you can take enthralling pictures. While in the park, you will get to take pictures using both the modern architecture and the classical Chinese water gardens as your background. You will also get the chance to take a snap with the modern monument, erected on 28th February as a memorial to the 10,000 Taiwan residents killed during an uprising. As you continue to take pictures along the water garden in the northeastern part of the park, you will come across a European classical architecture-style museum which is a great spot for photos. 9. Daan Forest Park

If you are a nature lover, then Daan Forest Park is the ideal destination for you. Daan Forest Park is a public park strategically located at the centre of the Daan District of Taipei. This park is 26 hectares (64.24 acres) and it has stroller-friendly walkways and a playground which can be accessed from the MRT. While you are in the park, you will be able to spot some animals such as turtles, ducks and squirrels. The park also is the home to lots of recreational amenities such as a skating rink, an amphitheatre and a playground for children. One recommended site for taking pictures is the path surrounded by huge palm trees.

10. Maokong Hill

Maokong is a must-see destination, especially for students. The site has cabins of cable cars making their way to the waved horizon of the nearby hills, this scenery is to be seen every day. You may also find interest in the teahouses on the top of the mountains and the tea plantations which will remind you of the times when Maokong was a large-scale, tea-growing area. A few meters from final gondola station, you will also find hiking paths going through the fields. Given the numerous hiking spots in Maokong, the most recommendable hiking spot has to be the Silver Stream Waterfall Yinhe Cave where you will have a peaceful time taking pictures.

11. Fort San Domingo

Fort San Domingo is a tourist destination that is steeped in history. The fort was built by Spanish settlers during 1629 when they used wood as the main material. Eight years later the fort was rebuilt with stone after several locals destroyed it. Renamed in 2005 as the Former British Consular Residence, it is now one of the most visited museums in the city. The architectural elements of the building uniquely combine Victorian elements with touches of Chinese design. However, purely Chinese design is seen on the fort’s main entrance. The main displays of the fort include several cannons used in previous wars.

The Longshan Temple is the most famous temple in all of Taiwan. Constructed back in 1738, Fujian influences are ever so evident in its architecture. Since then, the temple has received several renovations that has made it look better than what it was before. The surrounding gardens are also a favorite spot for photo-ops for visitors. The best of these places is the waterfall because of its dramatic atmosphere. Classified as one of the tallest buildings in the world, this tourist marvel takes its’ inspiration from the bamboo plant, at least with its outside appearance.
