This creative retreat is a great place to clear you head and enjoy the view for a few days. What could be better than sitting in your own private hot tub, with a glass of wine and a good book? This three story country house has different renting options which cover a number of rooms. The host particularly enjoys having families and children at the property, so we think it’s a perfect holiday spot; close to both the forests for exploring and the town for amenities. Rated as one of the best locations in Mendocino, this Victorian bed and breakfast offers fantastic value for money. This enchanting property overlooks both Mendocino village and the Pacific Ocean, depending on which room you choose we know that you’ll enjoy the view. Not well suited to children but perfect for couples and solo travelers. The thing that we love about this property are the community breakfasts where guests sit at a 10 person table to encourage conversation and friendship. Don’t worry if this isn’t your thing though, because you can still enjoy a private breakfast out on the decking.

Halfway between Fort Bragg and Mendocino lies SeaPines Ocean View Home; a beach front house with unique rounded windows which let in a lot of light. Sit on the decking in front of the house and listen to the Sea Lions barking, it’s such a unique experience. The property is located on one acre (0.40 hectares) of land so you have plenty of private space; the house boasts an open plan dining area and kitchen which is comfortable and bright. This studio property is just 5 minutes south of Mendocino on 5 acres (2 hectares) of beautiful Redwood forestry. Above an artists studio built entirely of Redwood and recycled fir and barn wood, this exquisite property is the perfect romantic getaway. The white furnishings are the perfect contrast to the wood interior, you’ll feel like you’re in a secret cabin! We love this campground option for your stay in Mendocino! Although we’d probably call this glamping - no hassle of putting up a tent and worrying about the weather here. You’d be staying in 37 acres (14 hectares) of countryside, in spacious safari tents that come equipped with a queen sized bed and lounge area. Cooking gas grills are available for free at the campsite. This sounds just perfect to us - so let’s all go glamping!
