Another ‘best of both worlds’ property is this small cottage which is nestled into a quiet village just 3 km (1.8 miles) from the beach. The location is ideal for couples or families looking forward to an active holiday. There are plenty of cycling and walking routes to choose from in and around the surrounding area. After a busy, active day, you’ll be happy to return to the detached cottage, and if you decide to treat yourself to dinner out then there are a number of eateries to select from: restaurant, gastropub, fish and chip shop, plus several coffeeshops and cafes. The cottage consists of a living and dining room, double bedroom, and spacious kitchen.

8. Private loft conversion
This is a loft conversion room with an en-suite bathroom and access to a fairly new kitchen in the lower section of the house. The host lives in the house and so will be present during most evenings, but you are still welcome to use the common space living area to relax and unwind in before retiring to your own room. It is worth noting that at the time of publishing, some of the rooms are still being renovated so it is worthwhile talking directly to the host to ensure that you are renting exactly what you expect in the property. There is also full Wi-Fi throughout the property and parking on-site, although you probably wont need a car much as the location is excellent: just 100 meters (328 ft) from the beach and 50 meters (164 ft) from shopping amenities.

9. Unique house near beach
This stylish house is just five minutes’ walk from the beach and has plenty of space to host up to six guests with three double bedrooms. This property is unique in both the layout and design features. We adore the small steps from the hallway to the kitchen, with its Portuguese-style tiling. The property itself is very narrow, but one of our favourite features has to be the driftwood-style dining table which sits in perfect contrast to the bright red wooden ceiling beams. Whilst the dining room has a cosy, hued feeling, the living room is bright with white-washed wooden furnishings.

10. Cozy vacation rental near the sea
Another fantastic location is this spacious property just 10 minutes’ walk to the beach. That means you can basically roll out of bed and into the sea for a morning swim! The rental is on a quiet residential street, with a small garden area and a ‘cottagey’ feel interior design. We adore the bright blue paint used to to decorate the internal features of this vacation rental… it really makes you feel like you are on holiday!
