It’s that time of the year again! Can you believe Christmas and New Year are just around the corner? Now speaking about one of the best cities in the USA to celebrate Christmas, Chicago has everything you’ve ever imagined in a winter wonderland. Strolling around downtown Chicago, the city couldn’t get any more magical as you pass Cloud Gate and see the reflection of city skyline through the impressive sculpture, the Bean. You can also go ice-skating at Millennium Park. The Ferris Wheel at Navy Pier on the Chicago shore of Lake Michigan in the Streeterville neighborhood is also well known as a tourist favorite destination, as it promises a breathtaking view of Chicago. Unfortunately the Ferris wheel is now closed for construction and will reopen again in summer 2016, but you can still walk around in the area, watch a movie at the Navy Pier IMAX Theater or a play at the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. You can also have a little bite to eat at the food court or outdoor restaurants.

You’ll find that downtown Chicago has the prettiest lights and Christmas decorations, and also there are so many events and shops you don’t want to miss. From Blue Man Group show, to a musical, the Nutcracker ballet, to a Christkindlmarket in Daley Plaza, you’ll be spoiled for choice. You’ll also hear Christmas songs anywhere you go. To mark the 20th Annual Christkindlmarket, Chicago’s largest open-air Christmas festival will once again bring a cherished German and European tradition to the US until 24 December, 2015. Chicagoans and tourists love to come here to sip mulled wine, try German food and drinks, and of course shop for some Christmas gifts.
