The cafe is small but is generally not too crowded so you can sit and enjoy your meal.

6. Philly Bros
This halal eatery has a large menu of traditional American foods. It covers everything from cheeseburgers to wings and of course, cheesesteak! The meat is halal and the eatery itself is set out like a diner. It can get really busy during the rush hour but believe us when we say that it is worth the wait. If you’re still hungry after your main course, be sure to try to the fried Oreos.

7. Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse
This fantastic eatery has a number of locations in the US and is famous in Brazil too. Be careful because only the lamb is halal. The lamb shank is basted with white wine but you can ask for this to be omitted. The restaurant specializes in churrasco fire-roasting techniques and they have been using this method since they began, over 40 years ago!

The owners of this restaurant are Muslim and so you can be rest assured that the menu is halal. The restaurant is cosy and the service is excellent. We love that it is fast food but the standard is much higher than an average fast food joint. Order the gyro and ribeye, it’s a firm local favourite.
