Peacefully situated on the hills of Witherslack, Moss Howe Farm Campsite is conveniently a few minutes away from Ambleside, Cartmel, and Windermere. It has exceptional camping facilities, including freshwater taps, showers, toilets, washrooms, a laundry room, and an all-weather picnic barn. Furthermore, charging areas are available in the shower blocks, which you may use for a minimal hourly fee. Campfires are permitted here, as long as you use a fire pit. Birchbank Cottage and Camping Site is a 121-hectare (300-acre) farm in Lake District. It provides different accommodation options, including a self-catering cottage that dates back to the early 18th century. Meanwhile, its campsite is suitable for both caravans and tents. Specifically, it has eight electric hook-ups and a hardstanding area. Motorhomes are welcome, as well. Dogs are allowed on the property, but they should be on a leash at all times. Open fires are not allowed, only barbecues and fire pits in a container. However, all fires must be extinguished before 10pm.
