Because eating is a national past-time in Singapore, you won’t be surprised with the numerous food options you will see in town. Since the Lion City is a melting pot of different cultures and races, the city has a multi-cultural culinary scenery spanning from the traditional recipes to the fusion dishes. You will find several restaurants offering a variety of international cuisines during your visit, halal ramen included. Though the traditional ramen uses pork cuts and pork broth, some ingenious chefs were able to come up with recipes using seafood, chicken, and beef so that it will pass halal standards (like the absence of pork and alcohol). Ramen, the number one favorite Japanese dish of foreigners according to a Japanese customer survey, is a must try, especially if it’s halal. Below is a list of restaurants where you can find halal ramen in Singapore. Why not try them out?

Posted by Kumoya Singapore on Friday, 18 May 2018

Kumoya is Singapore’s first halal restaurant that serves Japanese and French cuisine with a twist! The restaurant collaborates with big names in the cartoon and anime world to come up with a theme for the décor of their restaurant interiors, and in their food presentation. Just recently, they had a three-month event where they collaborated with Pusheen, an Anime cat popularized by its sticker spread on social media. Their food was decorated with tiny images of the cat and some components of the dish like the cooked rice and burger buns were also shaped like Pusheen. Not only does their food look so adorably cute, it also tastes delicious!

They say the secret to really good ramen is the kind of broth and ingredients used in the dish. The restaurants listed above are very clever and creative in the use of ingredients that are halal compliant, without compromising on the great taste ramen is known for. You may want to try these out on your next visit to Singapore.
