The room is west facing over a victorian garden, so expect glorious views at dusk, it is also in close proximity to the Humboldt Bay area. The main street that features bars, shops and restaurants is just 10 blocks away and so you’re closer to the main bustle of Eureka.

Great for a family or group holiday with 3 bedrooms, plus an office space with futon should you need an extra area; in total up to 10 guests can stay. The contemporary and well equipped house has everything that you would expect and a few extras, our favourites are the garden gazebo, and the white leather-lean back chair which is perfect to relax in after a long day walking in the Redwoods. We also love the contrast between the wooden beams throughout the house, and the colour-pop furniture that owner Margo has taken time to carefully select.

Ok, ok, so this one might need a bit of explaining but it’s so beautiful that we felt it deserved to be on the list. Essentially, if you are a large party (and we mean 12+ group size) you may be interested in renting the whole house for your holiday, otherwise as a smaller group you can rent just part of the house depending on your specific needs; reviews for both large and small groups have been exceptional and we love the fact that the owner is flexible and accommodating. In total the house has six bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, which can sleep up to 16 people. There is also a bar/game room on site which is rentable, and will keep your group entertained for hours with ping pong, pool and a wet bar. The prices we’re showing here is for part-rental.
