One of the nicest parks on this side of Northern California is Shoreline Lake Park. However, it didn’t start out as one of the best. The land was originally purchased with the intention of turning it into a recreational facility. However, due to some problems, it had to be sold to someone else. Soon after that, it became a landfill, taking in garbage from San Fransisco. In the 1980s, it was converted into a park, and now the land has hiking trails, golf courses, and tons of wildlife. Head out to the water and enjoy kayaking, or bring your binoculars and do a little bird watching.
