The Forest Villa Surrounded by Nature

The Forest Villa is a hotel directly operated by Huis Ten Bosch. There are three such hotels, and they are known as “The Three Hotels.” The Forest Villa is one of the special hotels able to brand itself with the Huis Ten Bosch name.

The defining characteristic of the Forest Villa is the privacy provided by its cottage style, which provides a vacation home feel for you to enjoy with your family and friends.

The hotel has the Lake Island Villas, which are on an island in the lake, as well as Lakeside Villas, which are on the lakefront and surrounded by a forest. Other than these two types, they also provide the “Dog Villas,” which allow you to bring your pets. No longer do the dogs need to stay home alone; they can come stay in the same room!

Relaxation Time for Everyone

Your stay at the Forest Villa begins with you taking off your shoes at the door. Being able to fully relax with your shoes off like you do at home is unique to these cottage style rooms. The first floor is a living room filled with natural light, which provides a space for you to gather and talk, share snacks, and play games. You will be sure to forget the time and enjoy your company here. In hotels you have to be mindful of your neighbors and keep quiet at night, but in a cottage you can talk all night without a worry. Once you’ve had too much fun and are ready to get some rest, your bedroom is right upstairs. If you wake up and still hear the laughter below, you can join them again! This is the kind of fun that only a cottage can provide. The natural-oriented restaurant found right on hotel grounds, “Trottiner,” can even provide snacks and wine. Preparing for a party with your friends has never been easier!

The View from the Lake Island Villa's Terrace

When you step out on the terrace of a Lake Island Villa, you see the lake extend before you. The closeness of the water might surprise you, as this is a sight seldom found in Japan. The grounds are cleaned often, and the lake is kept be very beautiful. By adding a gentle touch to nature, a pleasant stay beyond your imagination is brought to life. You may even see a swan swimming elegantly on the lake. The beautiful scenery may even make you feel like you are in Scotland or Holland. At the Forest Villa, you can get the feeling that you are staying at a vacation home abroad.

The Bedrooms are on the Second Floor

On the second floor, there are two bedrooms. If you open the extra bed, a maximum of five people can stay per cottage. There is a skylight that allows you to gaze at the stars as you fall asleep, and lets in morning sunshine to wake you the next day. What a wonderful way to start your holiday. How about waking up a little earlier than usual to take a quick walk through the woods? The early mornings are especially quiet, allowing you to enjoy the woods with the sweet chirping of its birds. The Forest Villa cottages also earn points by providing a washroom on the second floor as well. It’s nice that a trip with your girlfriends no longer comes with fighting over mirrors.

Shops and Lights are also Close by!

Some of you may be worried that a cottage in the forest may be a bit inconvenient, but not to worry. At the Forest Villa, as soon as you exit the forest there is a road decorated with lights. The road is lined with shops and restaurants, and it is buzzing into the night with people there to enjoy the lights and have a meal. The Forest Villa is located along the road that leads to the Palace of Light at Huis Ten Bosch, where it hosts its illumination shows; even though its surrounded by nature, the Forest Villa is in quite the convenient location. In the pictures, the upper right is the Palace of Light, the lower right is the Hotel Europe, and the forest on the right side along the road is the Forest Villa. If you look carefully you can see the light from the cottages shining on the lake. This picture was taken at the observatory of the tower that symbolizes Huis Ten Bosch: Domtoren.
