I highly recommend choosing to stay in Koh Tao over other 'party islands' in Thailand, such as Koh Phi Phi. Koh Tao was the most unreal island, and it has a much nicer, friendlier and cleaner (it doesn’t stink ahahha) vibe! It's also exactly what you picture when you think of Thailand—with beautiful beaches and surreal nightlife.
