If you’re a performing arts enthusiast, one place you can go to in town is The Park Center. Established as Whitten Park in 1946, this performing arts theater regularly hosts live performances. 4. Relm Skate Park

Whether you know how to skate or not, RELM Skate Park is a worthy place to visit in Hayward. The park got its name from a local avid skateboarder named Erik Lawry who made a proposal to the council to make a skatepark in 1994. He was tragically killed in an accident a year later. Erik’s father, Randy, donated funds to help the construction of the skatepark. In 1998, the park was completed and named Erik Lawry Memorial Park. Randy Lawry passed away in 2001, and the park was renamed Randy & Erik Lawry Memorial Park (RELM) in their memories. At RELM Skate Park, you will witness talented skaters right before your eyes.
