1. Take a Wine Tour
Because of Santorini’s volcanic makeup, the wineries on the island are excellent. Take a tour of some of the vineyards and taste excellent wines while looking out at beautiful vistas of the island. This tour also includes pick up and drop off services.
2. Oia Sunset and Traditional Villages Tour
If you have a limited amount of time on the island, a full day tour is an excellent way to see so much in a short time. Start off exploring the ancient city of Akrotirí, then continue on to the town of Pyrgos, and finish in Oia with a breathtaking sunset spot.

3. Sea Kayaking
Looking for some water sports? Why not take a sea kayaking tour around Santorini? Choose a morning or afternoon 2.5 hour tour that will take you to beaches, to cave-houses, lunch at a taverna and provide beautiful views!
Book Tours : Santorini: Sea Kayaking with Light Lunch
4. Helicopter Ride
If you’re looking for a more aerial view of the moon-shaped island, take a ride in a helicopter! Ride over the island and see the volcano, gorgeous beaches, and views in a private helicopter ride for up to five people. Take a twenty minute or thirty minute ride for unforgettable memories!
Book Tours : Santorini 30min Helicopter Tour
5. Explore Thirassia Island
Thirassia Island, once connected to the rest of Santorini before the volcanic eruption, is a short way away across the caldera. Head over on a small group tour to discover what this tiny island has to offer! See beautiful views of the main island, discover small cave houses, and walk through the mountainous terrain. This five-hour tour encompasses the entire island, including lunch at a picturesque church and exploring the island by foot.
6. Private Custom Tour
If none of the options above look right for you and your party, why not cater your tour to exactly what you want? Take a 4.5 hour tour of Santorini designed to see exactly what you want to see, just for you and your fellow travelers. Get picked up at your Santorini hotel, or if you are on a cruise, the Santorini port, and be driven around the island in an air-conditioned van, seeing all the sights YOU want to see.
7. Sail through the Caldera
One of the cool aspects of Santorini is that the entire island, or series of islands, used to be connected as one island, before the active volcano exploded thousands of years ago. Once the volcano erupted, the land sunk to the water, leaving a caldera and Santorini’s famous moon-shape. One of the great activities you can do while in Santorini is sail through the caldera and around the island, taking stops along the way and getting a brand-new perspective of the grandeur of the island. Sunset Oia Sailing Tours offer half day (approximately 5 hour) tours, and you can choose from a group or private tour as well.
If you take the morning tour, start off in the beautiful town of Oia (where, yes, you’ll recognize some of the scenery if you have seen “The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” series), and head off on your catamaran to view the island from the water. Stop at one of the small islands in the center of the caldera to swim in hot springs, go snorkeling into caves and grottos, have lunch on the boat and take a look at some of the beaches only accessible by boat on Santorini, and end on the opposite side of the island. If you’re looking for an afternoon tour, the same route is taken in the opposite direction, but you are able to have dinner on the boat and see the sun set from your catamaran before finishing for the day. This is one tour you DON’T want to miss while visiting Santorini.
8. Explore Akrotiri
The ancient village of Akrotiri on Santorini is one of the many archaeological sites you can see during your time in Greece. Established by the Minoans, this 4,000-year-old civilization was evacuated due to the volcanic eruption of the island, and the entire city was preserved in volcanic ash until rediscovered. Walk through the streets of the ancient town, explore Greece’s history, and take in the wonders of the past!
See your stress subside in Santorini!
As an avid travel-enthusiast, I can honestly say this should be on every traveler’s lists of top destinations. From the breathtaking views to the kind people and wonderful food, there is no reason NOT to visit! Either choose from one of the myriad of tours to do with you and your party or just sit and relax on the beach or by the pool. You’re in Santorini! Throw all your worries away!
