4. Newquay (from USD 199)
The charming Newquay is only about a 30-minute drive from Truro. Sit along the shores of Fistral Beach or Newquay Beach and watch the sun go down for a romantic date with your partner. For an even more magical time, visit the ever-changing The Japanese Garden, which is unlike any other place in Cornwall. It has many different trees and ponds and hundreds of blooming flowers for you to admire together.
For those who are fascinated with marine life, you can visit Blue Reef Aquarium Newquay to observe the magnificent sea creatures and coral reefs. Then, retire to restful accommodations, such as Fistral Beach Hotel and Spa - Adults Only or Pentire Hotel.
Tip from Content Creator
Newquay is probably the most accessible part of Cornwall because it’s serviced by the airport and train. The beaches, in my opinion, are amongst the best we have in the UK. Crantock is my favourite as it has absolutely everything. Sand dunes, a tidal estuary where you can kayak or paddle board and a big expanse of Atlantic Ocean. Polly Joke Beach is a hidden gem. In June, it is a sea of red with the poppy field close by. Meanwhile, Fistral Beach and Watergate Bay deserve their fame for beautiful sandy beaches and great surf.
Pentire Hotel This is a Proud Certified property where you can be extra sure of a welcoming stay.
