If you ask me where to find the best food in Vietnam, I’d say it’s Hoi An. It is somewhat an unpopular answer but the food here has never disappointed me. Most people who live in Danang, including myself for a short period of time, would not mind driving for almost an hour just for a bowl of Cau Lao or a bag of Banh Mi. Besides its local delicacy, Hoi An offers its unique charm: the Old Town. Once a major trading post back in the 16th century, it has blossomed into a living museum where the old meets the new. There is nothing like walking around this small town. However, the heat and the pack of tourists can somewhat make the walk super tiring. So, instead of driving back to Danang, I highly recommend you to pick a place to stay around the Old Town. Luckily, I found this gem that lives up to its name, Le Pavillon Hoi An Luxury Resort & Spa.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on February 05, 2024.

There are several room types available at Le Pavillon Hoi An Luxury Resort & Spa. I personally chose the Deluxe Riverview Balcony room for the large bed and, of course, that ultimate feeling of relaxation when you wake up to a nice view.

If you don’t know which type of room to choose, just think about your preference of view (river or garden), bed (twin or double), and whether or not you want a balcony. Make sure you inform them during the booking process.

Take us back in time!

My favorite part of the room is how it is decorated with a classic taste of Hoi An, from its colors to small details like an old telephone with a rotary dial!

What a time to relax on the balcony

Here’s a closer look to Hoi An’s unique skyline, filled with a mix of old and new buildings plus a beautiful mountain in the background!

All you need and more

Another thing you need to consider while choosing your room type is the bathroom. Some room types, like mine, come with a rain-shower. Some others have a bathtub. Every bathroom is equipped with toiletries, plus a razor and sewing kit. Each also has three different of towels: one for your body, another for your face, and lastly a hand towel. A hairdryer is also available to use.

Make your own Vietnamese coffee or order the real deal from the restaurant

Now, let’s talk about the room’s amenities. Each room has a TV with international channels (list of channels is provided), mini bar with snacks and beverages, make-your-own coffee and tea amenities, safety box inside the closet, reading lamps, free open Wi-Fi, and air conditioner with a controller attached to the wall next to your bed. No more “Where’s the remote?” mystery! Oh, did I mention that you get complimentary seasonal fruit every day?

I am guilty of drinking too much coffee in Vietnam. I blame the hotel’s delicious, clean, organic coffee!

Don't feel like going out? The hotel offers on-site excitement

Oh, nothing compares to the refreshing first dip into a swimming pool on a hot summer day! Le Pavillon Hoi An Luxury Resort & Spa offers two connecting swimming pools: one for adults and one for kids. If you visit Hoi An around summertime, a relaxing time by the pool after a couple of laps is a must! For safety reasons, there’s also a lifeguard on standby during the day.

Start your day with the breakfast buffet

I am not a morning person, but waking up early in this hotel was pleasant. There are two main reasons for this. Firstly, staff always greet you so warmly, you feel like you’re at home (they even started calling me by my name after a while). Secondly, breakfast is amazing! A wide range of choices is available and they’re all delicious. You can choose from the basics like rice, porridge, noodles, omelet, cereals, to Vietnam local delicacies like the signature bread Banh Mi which is like French baguette which you can make your own with some cheese and cold cuts options!

It's called "Resort & Spa" for a reason!

A relaxing time wouldn’t be complete without a spa day. Staying at Le Pavillon Hoi An Luxury Resort & Spa saves you from the trouble of researching to find a spa, booking and making your way to the appointment. Just book an appointment with the on-site spa facility from the convenience of your room (brochure and price list are available in each room), enjoy your spa treatment, and walk back to the comfort of your bed for a nice, relaxing nap or a cup of coffee on the balcony. Ah, what a life!

Sip on some cocktails at the hotel's pool bar during Happy Hour!

Here’s the best part of Le Pavillon Hoi An Luxury Resort & Spa’s swimming pool: it has a pool bar! Visit the bar during happy hour and you get another drink for free. If you don’t like to get wet while drinking the night away, the hotel also offers another bar with a pool view, the Wanna Bar. I recommend having a drink at these bars even if you’re not staying at the resort. Yes, the bars and restaurant are open to the public!

Time to explore the Old Town!

Since the hotel is located just a few minutes from the Old Town, you can take advantage of the accessibility during your stay. Moreover, you can use the hotel’s bike for free. If you don’t feel like cycling, you can always hop on the hotel’s shuttle bus to and from the Old Town, and also the beach! As a hotel guest, you get to enjoy free sun lounger facilities at An Bang Beach. The shuttle bus schedule is available at the front desk and in your room.

Your own spot at the beach, right in front of the Dolphin Restaurant which serves seafood and drinks.

Don't check out just yet. Dine at the hotel's BBQ event!

Breakfast is no longer served, the restaurant is already closed and you’re feeling hungry but don’t feel like going out. Well, do not fret as Le Pavillon Hoi An Luxury Resort & Spa holds a weekly (sometimes twice a week) BBQ event at their very own outdoor venue. Enjoy the all-you-can-eat buffet for less than 10 USD. Shrimp, pork, fish, and even noodles dishes are served at the BBQ. This event is also open to the public. Go follow their Instagram page for up-to-date notifications!

More than just a place to sleep

There is no doubt that I would book a room at Le Pavillon Hoi An Luxury Resort & Spa for my next trip to Hoi An, and you should too! If this is out of your budget range, the hotel’s group also offers other types of accommodation: Le Pavillon Hoi An Boutique Hotel & Spa and Le Pavillon Hoi An Central Villa for different prices. Even so, each property offers the same high quality service and hospitality. Go check out their website to find out more.
