With breathtaking mountain and village views, the Crystal Lodge offers an unbeatable location in Whistler Village, British Columbia, Canada. The Village features multiple restaurants, shops, and attractions for guests to the area. The Lodge is steps away from both Whistler and Blackcomb Gondolas for skiers and outdoor adventures including the Peak to Peak Gondola.

History drives the future

The Crystal Lodge in snow at night

The history of the lodge dates back to the 1986 Nancy Green Olympic Lodge, named after a famous local skier and Canada’s athlete of the century. The location of the property naturally led to resort development with the Lodge as the cornerstone. A recent extensive renovation features a lobby with a two-story high ceiling, a grand staircase leading to shops, restaurants, and nightlife activities of the Whistler Village Stroll, a roaring fireplace, and comfortable chairs to relax. The Lodge claims a tag line, “at the center of it all.” It truly is the center of the Village.

Friendly concierge, reception, and staff provide outstanding customer service beginning the moment you walk in the front doors. Each individual strives to make guests feel like family and to help in any way necessary from maps and directions to reservations at local venues to customizable housekeeping schedules. Many even greet guests by name as they return from exploring the area for the day.

Your comfort is priority

King deluxe room

The boutique property is full of style and comfort. With 158 newly renovated guest rooms, from traditional hotel rooms to three-bedroom suites, there is an accommodation for everyone’s needs. Rooms include luxurious amenities: a sophisticated bathroom with deep tubs, LED lighting, large mirrors, and contemporary vanities; HD flat screen TVs; complimentary tea/coffee with a mini kitchen in the suites; data ports for charging your electronics; quiet, efficient heating and air conditioning; cool greys or a warm earth color décor; pillow-soft beds and sofa beds; and adjustable lighting. A secure heated underground parking garage is available for an extra fee.

In addition to the room amenities, the Lodge provides a complete business center, a game room, an outdoor heated pool and hot tub, a fitness center and sauna, complimentary bike and ski valet, and complimentary wireless internet. Housekeepers are flexible to provide a refreshing schedule that meets your needs.

Even the family dog is treated like a special guest at Crystal Lodge with the Crystal Canine Program. Well-behaved dogs are invited to vacation with the family at no extra charge! The village is dog-friendly as are many nearby hiking trails. Dogs receive their own blanket, a drying towel, a water bowl, and a welcome treat. Doggie scoop bags are available throughout the village as well.

Environmentally conscious part of the community

Whistler Visitors Center located in the Village

In an attempt to promote global awareness of how easy it is to make an environmental impact, the Lodge supports a “Plastic Bag Free” pilot program with area businesses. Each room includes a re-useable bag for the guest to borrow during their stay. This bag is washable and reused between guests. Bags are also available for purchase. The goal of the program is to make Whistler plastic bag free by 2020.

The Crystal Advantage Program, available to all guests at no extra charge, provides discounts to many nearby shops & restaurants. Four restaurants are located in the Lodge or immediate vicinity – The Beacon Pub & Eatery, Basalt Wine and Salumeria, Old Spaghetti Factory, and Wildwood Pacific Bistro. Additionally, the Crystal Lounge and Starbucks offer additional food and beverage options.

The Lodge actively updates social media including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube with fun activities, contests, updates, and specials in Whistler and at the Lodge.

A unique dining option is newly opened

Pancetta wrapped Ross Down Farms chicken breast entree

Open for lunch and dinner only, the Basalt Wine and Salumeria offers fine, intimate dining utilizing local produce and fish with a wide selection of charcuterie and cheese from around the world. The culinary team combines tastes and textures into tantalizing delights to intrigue any palate. The wait staff are knowledgeable and offer suggestions to make your experience complete. The menu selections include unique combinations to highlight local products.

The new winter menu features a three-course dinner selection including an appetizer, main course, and dessert for only 36 CAD per person. I recommend the fresh bread basket served with Tuscan herb infused olive oil and fig balsamic, Pancetta wrapped Ross Down Farms chicken breast with caramelized onion and thyme jus, Dubliner and rosemary dauphinoise potatoes, and bacon sautéed savoy cabbage, with chocolate crème brulee with orange shortbread crumble for dessert. Highlight the meal one of the great wine offerings such as the Sandhill Small Lots Syrah 2012, from Osoyoos, British Columbia.

The Wildwood Pacific Bistro offers a different dining option

The traditional breakfast at the Bistro

Known for their tasty variety of eggs Benedict, the menu includes everything from the traditional breakfast options to soups, salads, and pasta to burgers, steaks, and seafood. The attentive wait staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The quiet and clean dining room provides an easy way to wake up in the morning over coffee and breakfast or to relax after a day exploring Whistler.

Many of the ingredients are sourced from local farms while the chefs are specialists in combining items into great tasting and well-presented meals. The Bistro’s location within the Lodge lobby makes it convenient as well as a great choice for a relaxing meal.

The Crystal Lodge makes a great getaway spot in any season

Getting into the holiday spirit is easy when wandering through the seasonally decorated Village with fresh snow, crisp air, and people from around the world. Skiers heading to and from the slopes exude excitement about a new season and new snow. And the Crystal Lodge located just steps away from it all, making a great base for exploring the area.
