Built in 1894, this Victorian home has been fully renovated to provide a welcoming and relaxing break to guests from around the world.
Hostess Jody Runge makes this your home-away-from-home during your stay in Portland. “I love showing off our beautiful city.”Jody enjoys pointing out interesting things to do, including current events, to help you plan your time in the city. She will help with maps, reservations, or recommendations. Her love of people and operating the inn are evident from the moment you make your reservations.

Three stylish and comfortable rooms are located within the home; a cottage behind the house offers additional privacy. Each room is designed with your comfort in mind with a double/queen size bed, sitting area, gentle lighting, and private bathroom. Two rooms feature fireplaces. The cottage is studio-style option for guests wanting more space.
After a restful sleep, you will be treated to a sumptuous full breakfast. Fruit, juices, and entrees are freshly prepared each morning. Jody attempts to accommodate special requests for her guests whenever possible.

A lovely garden patio offers a quiet getaway when the weather is pleasant. Enjoy chatting over an iced tea or latte on the garden patio. The covered front porch has an old fashioned swing for catching some fresh air, despite the weather. Reflect on quieter times while reading a good book.

Oregon’s largest mall, Lloyd Center, is located just six blocks from the Painted Lady. The mall features an indoor ice rink, cinema options, a food court, and a wide variety of stores for finding that perfect gift or souvenir.
Max, Portland’s excellent light rail transportation system, is conveniently nearby as well. Hop on for an inexpensive ride into downtown for museums, dinner, theatre, or events at the Moda Center (home to the Portland Trailblazers).
Jake’s Grill for great seafood dinners
Jake’s Grill, located in downtown Portland at the Sentinel Hotel, is a McCormick & Schmidt restaurant chain. The grill features fresh local seafood, tender steaks, and a wide selection of hand mixed cocktails including single malt whiskies.
Their fried calamari with jalapenos is seasoned just right to bring out the fresh fish flavor and presented in a very appetizing manner.

The Painted Lady is one of my favorite local bed and breakfast options. The personality of this inn shows through thanks to the hostess and her attention to details. I highly recommend this B&B to friends visiting the city. Jody will take great care of you!
