If you can’t decide which gorgeous location to visit first, then we suggest that you visit the lovely Maiden Lake first. You can absolutely take our word for it. Not only is this lake simply magical, but it has become one of the most worthwhile and significant tourist attractions in the city of Fernie.

Enjoy the unique views: Maiden Lake is indeed a fitting location for kids as the rocky beach area is a great place to relax as well. There’s just a whole lot of thrilling activities that you could enjoy around here.

4. Fernie Heritage Library


The Fernie Heritage Library serves as a great symbol of Fernie’s spirited nature. The original post office building has undergone a major renovation to become an honorable home for the library. Thanks to community volunteers and donations, the museum was finally opened in 2013. Situated on the banks of the Elk River, the lovely James White Park is just another marvelous tourist location that’s absolutely worth your time and attention. Indeed, it is a community park which is perfect for picnicking as it’s also a pretty popular recreational area. Sports lovers can enjoy playing tennis and baseball around here as the Lizard Range Frisbee golf course is open for golf enthusiasts as well. Besides, the marvelous James White Park has got something for its hikers as well. The famous Montview Hiking Trail, Brewery Creek, and Dogwood trails are also within a close reach.
