The Rockox House marries culture, history, art and architecture to create a stunning, 17th-century mansion that’s popular with tourists from all over the world. The house was initially built for Nicolaas II Rockox, Lord Mayor of Antwerpen, but later was sold off to KBC Bank in 1970, for use as a public museum. Today, visitors are able to admire the house’s Renaissance and Baroque style architecture, engravings and paintings, and visit the house’s herb garden to enjoy some unique scents and learn more about various local herbs used in cooking.

The Ruben’s House, or The Rubenshuis, is the former home and workshop of renowned artist Peter Paul Rubens.
