Whether driving by in your car or getting out for a closer look, you should snap a photo at this site, which has been part of the city for years. This attraction also comes with a history where in the past, sugar was one of the goods that no one in Dixie had access to, so this massive rock structure made of red sandstone was named “Sugarloaf” as a symbol of the fact that they finally obtained some of this treasured commodity.

Initially, the students from the class of 1913 at Dixie Academy painted the year “1913” to give it a memorable appearance; however, later on, they covered it up with large white letters that indicated the word “DIXIE” as a tribute to the place.
