Sitting on top of a hill, this house is suitable for those running away from the city. The 1500 square feet (139 square metres) of space has more than enough room for four. It contains a kitchen with all the basic cooking essentials, a patio with a hammock, a huge balcony and four beds. Screens are installed on the windows to prevent bugs.
A tuk-tuk will bring you to the town centre in five minutes. Otherwise, it’s a 30-minute walk. Do note that you’ll have to climb a flight of stairs to reach the property. And, if you have kids, check with the host before booking, as the space may not be suitable for young children. Other residents include a dog and two cats. If you’re an animal lover, don’t forget to give them some hugs!

This family house is run by two artists - a Guatemalan tattoo artist and a French graphic designer. They offer everything - from yoga classes, massages to cooking classes. While you have your own bedroom, the other facilities are shared. The huge kitchen, two showers, two toilets and a living room will be shared among other guests.
You’ll find all sorts of amenities nearby, including a market, bakery and restaurants. A short walk will bring you to the lake. The hosts are friendly people who love a good drink and chat. The dock with boats departing for Santiago is also nearby. Travelling around is quite easy with the tuk tuks. For a small fee, they can bring you anywhere around town.
