Located south of the Gibson Desert in western Australia is the outback town Warburton. The small town is an Aboriginal Mission that was established in 1934. They are best known for their beautiful glass works. If you are going to be visiting the area you should note that Warburton is a dry community, no alcohol allowed, and tourists need to obtain permission before entering. But there are plenty of great locations in the area that are worth seeing. Situated near the Yarra Valley there are plenty of nature trails, waterfalls and wildlife preserves in the area. The O'Shannassy Trail meanders along the aquaduct with stunning views of the valley below. The trail is about 18 miles (30km) from start to finish and pretty easy to navigate. You will see beautiful preserved forests, fern gullies, creeks and plantations. The Reids Tramline Walk lies east of Warburton and includes nature trails, picnic areas and a wildlife reserve. The La La Falls are a short hike from the parking area, less than one mile, and worth seeing. Warburton Rainforest Gallery and Yarra Ranges National Park have some lovely hiking trails and a chance to observe nature in different environments.
