Amenities & Room:
The bathroom is shared between two bedrooms
but the bedroom closer to the stairs could use a floor lamp
We had a little trouble with the TV
The small lamp by the bed didn't provide enough light in the evening
Sharing the bathroom was tough because it's a jack and Jill
Cleanliness:
The apartment is very clean and well kept
The beds and rooms were comfortable and clean
but you can't beat the price
so we weren't able to use the deck
The bedrooms are very sparsely furnished
Host:
The owner was communicative and her hospitality was excellent
and she was super responsive by email and text
The property was well kept and she made us feel very welcome
The owner Kathryn was very accommodating
but the owner came over to fix it for us while we were out and about
Location:
There were several really quality restaurants within a 4-block walking radius which was very nice
The closest supermarkets (Whole Foods and Hannaford) are nearly a mile away with no other options (e g convenience stores bodegas) to speak of nearby Kathryn was very helpful with suggestions f...
The unloading process was fairly easy as there was 15 minute parking available across the street then circle the block to the Holiday Inn
Lovely place well decorated and comfy Within walking distance of great restaurants and shops around wharf in Portland
Great location and really enjoyed the amenities

Old city charm blended with modern culture

It is quite fascinating to see that most of these apartments, renovated and furnished to suit the modern age, have still held on to the historic accents in some way or another. Some still feature the rustic architecture while some have kept the original wooden hardwood flooring. Some places have maintained high, soaring ceilings, and some have kept the huge windows. Come to Portland to enjoy these historic feels amidst all modern amenities and have a nice, balanced getaway.
