We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. 1. WatersEdge Hotel (from USD 129)
If you’re coming to Cobh, the cream of the crop is WatersEdge. It’s literally stationed upon the water’s edge. This is such an exciting place to stay. When the cruise ships dock, you can practically touch them. With gorgeously appointed rooms, the WatersEdge is elegance at its finest. It’s one of the highest rated hotels in the area and sells out quickly.
The hotel restaurant, Jacobs Ladder, offers sumptuous, unique, and ever-changing menu options. They also have a lovely bar where you can enjoy a nightcap. Truthfully, though, you’ll want to take that cocktail up to the rooftop so you can look out over the harbor. I simply cannot say it enough. WatersEdge is the kind of place that balances elegance with a welcoming appeal. The most disappointing element will be the morning you have to check out.

2. Bella Vista Hotel & Self Catering Suites (from USD 214)
Reasonably priced with excellent value for money.
Modern, well-equipped rooms with lovely views. Onsite Chinese restaurant and bar. Free parking.
Conveniently located in Cobh with a good view, close to attractions and town center.
Delicious breakfast with plenty of options. Excellent Chinese restaurant and friendly staff.
Bella Vista certainly gives WatersEdge a run for its money. So, if WatersEdge is sold out during your preferred dates, run - don’t walk - to Bella Vista. This is a luxurious Victorian villa that offers modern, beautifully designed rooms. The clean, hardwood floors are the perfect foundation for its elegant linens and decor. Their continental breakfast has got to be one of the best in all of Ireland, surely. Everything is cooked to perfection and practically melts in your mouth.
While the dining options in Cobh abound, you just might want to stay “home” one night and enjoy the Full Rustic Bar, complete with open fires and a fine selection of whiskey. They’re likely to treat you to live music and it’ll be nice to know you don’t have far to go, come evening’s end. They, too, have a lovely rooftop you’ll want to visit each day. I don’t think those harbor views ever get old.

You’re going to love your island stay, all within an arm’s reach of the treasures that await in Cobh. Here, you’ll discover an 18-hole championship golf course, swimming pool, and show-stopping guest rooms. Ireland’s largest wildlife park, Fota Wildlife Park, is only a five-minute walk.
Don’t forget the spa portion of Fota Island Hotel and Spa. This luxury retreat boasts 18 treatment rooms where you can enjoy anything from a massage, to a manicure, to hydrotherapy, to thermal suites. Their attention to detail is simply superb.
You’ll find the restaurant to be stylish, flooded with natural light, and serving both modern and traditional cuisine. If you can, enjoy your meal out on the terrace one night. At any given point, you might want to savor a delicious cocktail in the Amber Lounge or Spike Bar. At Fota, you’ll be safely tucked into a world away and, just like WatersEdge, checkout will be your only disappointment.

The Commodore Hotel is right across the street from Cobh Harbor, serving up sensational views and gorgeous harbor breezes. With comfortable and pretty decor in each of their guest rooms, you’ll be glad you checked into the Commodore.
Their restaurant overlooks the harbor, specializing in traditional and Mediterranean cuisine. Stop by their bar one evening for a pint and some live music. This is a lovely find. Here, you’ll be provided with a private bedroom, bath, and balcony. A solo traveler would probably enjoy this space, as it only fits one twin size bed. If that’s you, then snatch this room up right away!
The hosts are very welcoming and make sure you have everything you need during your stay. The view from the balcony is heavenly and the location is ideal. You’ll be removed enough from the hubbub of the squares yet close enough to make the short, peaceful walk to your morning tea along the harbor.

8. Large three bedroom apartment
This apartment is located on the grounds of the lovely Bella Vista hotel. Unlike our lovely Victorian room above, this is intended for large parties of about eight or nine people. With three bedrooms, two baths, and six beds, you’ll be quite comfortable in this clean, updated, and spacious apartment.
Truly, you couldn’t be better situated. You’ll have full access to all the hotel amenities, including the restaurant and bar - which plays live Irish music every Friday and Saturday night. Because this is a self-catering service, you’ll have to stock your own refrigerator but, for a nominal fee, they’ll do this for you, allowing you to walk into what will truly be a home away from home.

Fairy hills and mermaid mists
If fairy hills and mermaids exist, you’re most likely to discover them here in Cobh. So, keep an eye out! It’s a magical town brimming with gourmet cuisine, a multitude of places to lay your head at night, and air that puffs out live Irish music and harbor breezes.
I hope we’ll meet among the mists someday!
