The stylish Portland White House is located in the Historic Irvington District in northeast Portland. Listed on the National Historic Register, this restored home now welcomes guests to stay and relax in luxury and comfort. In addition to the many period features of the home, eight uniquely designed guest rooms are available. Conveniently located near major roads and local transit system, many Portland activities are just minutes away – shopping, parks, and great restaurants.

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. The image galleries get refreshed with the latest updates regularly. They were last updated on January 31, 2024.

The restored mansion

The house originally was a summer home for the Lytle family, a local lumber baron. The mansion has been restored to period luxury with great detail. The home features a ballroom, formal dining room, large parlor with grand piano, sweeping staircase, European chandeliers, magnificent leaded glass windows, gilt-gold ceilings, groomed landscape, circular drive, and water fountain. Portland’s White House is more than just a bed and breakfast. It is a great place for small formal gatherings such as a wedding, family reunion, or other intimate occasion.

Attention to detail include stained glass windows

The stained glass windows were imported from Europe to add authenticity in the renovation. The restoration includes an extensive collection of European and Continental Porcelains as well as many 18th and 19th century oil paintings. Guests can spend time admiring and studying the amazing collections while staying at the house.

Comfortable yet authentic guest rooms

Five guest rooms in the main house and three guest rooms in the Carriage House are available for reservations. Each room is uniquely furnished and spacious with all the amenities for a relaxing night – a comfortable bed, an area to relax, and a dresser for storing clothing instead of living out of the suitcase.

Feather beds, feather pillows and rich linens will guarantee a night of relaxing sleep. All rooms have a private bath, individualized climate control, private phone lines, and wireless internet access.

The Spa suites include French champagne and a Moonstruck Chocolate gift. A great option for a honeymoon or romantic weekend!
