The Ruins

If you want an ultimate cliff-jumping experience. Go to “The Ruins.” It is an abandoned German expat’s house that was destroyed by a typhoon, but it has become iconic for tourists. It is located by a cliff, and this is where both locals and tourists go for cliff jumping.

Mangrove Eco Park

We went here in the morning and it was low tide. If you’re planning to experience the best of this spot, go during high tide. There is also a cliff-jumping spot here!

Virgin Island

Another island that offers a great experience. A day trip here is only until 5 in the afternoon, so if you want to make the most of it, go to the island early. There is an entrance fee and a separate fee for cottages or tables. If you’re a budget traveler, you can find a spot under a tree where you can lay your mats and enjoy the beach.

I Love Kinhason

Serving unlimited scallops for an affordable price of only 199 pesos. They also serve booze here.

MJ Square is a block with numerous restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops. This is where most tourists flock. For a restaurant, try “Panyang,” which serves delicious Filipino dishes. And they have affordable pricing, too.

For dessert, try out the homemade gelato at “Hello, Spank.” The best scoops I’ve had so far!

You can rent a bicycle or motorbike to go around Bantayan Island. We rented a motorbike for only 600 pesos for 24 hours. There are numerous rental shops in the town proper. And you can go to some attractions like Kota Beach, where a of tourists enjoy sunset viewing.

Ogtong Cave

A unique attraction is this pool cave located in a resort (Santa Fe Beach Club). You can visit the resort and enjoy its amenities, such as the pool, beach, and the Ogtong Cave. This is a small pool cave and is usually full of visitors, which sometimes makes picture-taking a bit challenging. If you want to enjoy it for yourself, I highly recommend, going early in the morning.

A beachfront property with a private beach and swimming pool. In the morning, it’s low tide, but you can still enjoy a beach stroll on the white sand bars and take great photos.

📍 One Concierto Piyu at Far Eastern University Manila

A memorable concert from my college days five years ago.

Every year, our university hosts a concert, and this one is surreal to me. It was the final one I went to as a student, and I was on the production team with my college friends. We had backstage and VIP access to the show, but we were also racing about the grounds to ensure the event ran smoothly. Famous local bands performed during the event, and as the last band finished, we all stood together and enjoyed the music. This concert will always be one of my favorite college "remember when" stories.
