Air V&V Guam: Vaccine Tourism Program

Want to vacation worry-free in the new normal? Guam might just be the destination for you, thanks to the launch of the Air V&V program which allows visitors to receive a COVID-19 vaccine while enjoying a tropical island get-away!

The Air V&V program offers visitors the administration of the vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson/Janssen), COVID-19 tests as needed, and digital vaccination records. Simply book with one of the participating Air V&V accommodations listed below to enjoy concierge medical service and receive the vaccination in the comfort of your hotel room or at Air V&V's designated kiosk in Tumon.

Vaccination Process

Vaccines

You may choose your vaccine (Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen), subject to availability.

Timeline

The vaccine can be administered as soon as the day after your arrival. Your second dose for Pfizer and Moderna can be scheduled 21 and 28 days respectively after the first dose.

Prior to arrival in Guam

Who Requirements
All Air V&V participants Book your stay at one of the Air V&V hotels. The hotel will assist in scheduling the vaccination and PCR appointments.
Air passengers from a foreign country You are required to present a negative COVID-19 test result (no more than 72 hours prior to departure) before boarding your flight to Guam.


Upon arrival

Who Quarantine Requirements
Passengers who present a negative PCR test taken within 72 hours of arrival in Guam Not needed
Passengers who show proof of full vaccination by an FDA- or WHO-authorized vaccine Not needed
Passengers who present a negative antigen test taken within 72 hours of arrival in Guam Quarantine at a personal residence or rental lodging at the traveler’s expense is required.
Passengers who do not qualify for an exemption Quarantine at a government facility is required.

FAQs about Air V&V Guam: Vaccine Tourism Program


  • Who is eligible to participate?
    Any traveler in Guam who's 12 years old and over is eligible for Air V&V. However, minors (17 years old and younger) must be accompanied by their parent/s or legal guardian with parental consent.
  • What to do before travelling? (COVID-19 tests and quarantine requirements)
    72 hours prior to your departure, you must have a negative COVID-19 test. A 10-day quarantine in Guam is required unless you meet the exceptions listed in their updated travel guidelines for COVID-19.
  • Can I get the vaccine if I am not staying at a participating Air V&V hotel?
    Yes, you can book your vaccination slots at airvandv.guamcovid.com to get the shots administered at the Air V&V designated kiosk in Tumon, even if you are not staying at a participating Air V&V hotel.
  • Do I need a US visa if I’m traveling from the Philippines?
    Yes, all travelers from the Philippines are required to have either a US passport, a US visa, or a green card to travel to Guam.
  • How can I apply for a US Visa?
    1. Create an account at the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Consular Affairs Visa Website.
    2. Fill out the DS-160 Form, a form for non-immigrant visa applicants.
    3. Pay the Visa Application Fee over the counter OR via online transaction.
    4. Then validate your payment and book your appointment schedule through this site.
    5. Book your interview date via online or phone call: (02) 8548 8223 or (02) 7792 8988.
    6. Prepare the following documents
    Required documents:
       - Passport(s)
       - Include previous and current passports
       - DS-160 Confirmation page
       - Deposit receipts
       - Appointment confirmation
       - Soft copy of 2x2 photograph (taken within six months, with white background, in neutral facial expression, with both ears and eyebrows exposed, with no lines, no marks, and no shadow, and not pixelated/edited.)
    Supporting documents:
       - Certificate of Employment
       - Income Tax Return
       - Bank Certificate
       - Sample Itinerary
       - Documents of previous visit/visa to the U.S.
       - For students: latest school results, transcripts and diplomas, and proof of financial support
    7. Attend your interview at the US Embassy
    8. Wait for your visa
  • Do I need health insurance or any documents?
    Health insurance is not needed, and as for documents, bring along your test results and/or proof of vaccination, and a valid photo identification to receive the vaccine (e.g passport, driver’s license, etc).
  • What vaccines are available and can I choose which vaccine to take?
    The three vaccines available are Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson/Janssen. Yes, you can choose your vaccine, subject to availability.
  • Where can I get my vaccination?
    You can take your COVID-19 vaccinations from your Air V&V hotel. If you move to another Air V&V hotel after your first dose, you can arrange for your second dose to be administered at your new Air V&V hotel. However, if you move to a non-Air V&V hotel, you must return to your original hotel for your second dose. Alternatively, you can also take your COVID-19 vaccinations at Air V&V's designated kiosk in Tumon.
  • Can vaccines be mixed?
    Latest studies show that the body’s immune system responds better with mixed doses. However, please consult your medical provider for further clarification.
  • I have already received my first vaccine dose in my home country. Can I participate in the program for the second dose?
    Yes, you can! Bring along official documentation that shows the type of vaccine and the date it was administered.
  • Can I take my second dose in my home country?
    Yes. However, we highly recommend participants to become fully vaccinated by receiving both the first and second dose of a two-dose vaccine in Guam.
  • What if I test positive while I'm in Guam?
    If you test positive, you'll have to be quarantined for 10 days in a government isolation facility where you'll be monitored.
