Although Sapporo is famous for its miso-based Sapporo ramen, there are stalls that specialise in different tastes as well.
At Ramen Toranoko, the exclusive Toranoko ramen is famous for its spiciness. Four different levels of spiciness can be selected for the Toranoko ramen, which includes 8 types of spice, such as basil. Yet, the pork broth soup and char siu (roasted pork meat) create a fantastic harmony with the soup, allowing a delectable and enjoyable experience instead of a fire-breathing one.
