Located in a prime location in south Mumbai, St. Regis is an oasis of luxury. I had booked a 1-night stay and fell in love with the ambiance and the property. After checking in, a 24-hour personal assistant was assigned to us who looked after our every need. Moreover, the spacious rooms had premium bedding, a desk, snacks, and stable Wi-Fi. The grand bathroom had a bathrobe, a shower, a bathtub, and complimentary toiletries.
For dinner, we went to The Sahib Room & Kipling Bar and savored North Indian delicacies. The next day, we were greeted with a scrumptious buffet of South Indian, Italian, European, and waffles at Seven Kitchens. Unfortunately, the pool and spa were closed due to COVID restrictions. However, the hospital staff and delicious food made up for it!
Since, it's located in one of the busiest areas in Lower Parel, right next to Phoenix Palladium, you may experience very high traffic on weekends. However, hotel guests can enter the mall from the exclusive back entrance connecting both. In the past, this neighborhood had several cloth mills, which are now converted into high-end buildings, thus adding to the high property prices here.

This property is located close to Mumbai's Lalbaug area, home to several high-end skyscrapers and the iconic Lalbaugcha Raja (a public idol of Lord Ganesha, which can be worshipped during the Ganesh Chaturti festival). Also, the property is in a residential neighborhood, which makes it safe to visit with your family. I had stayed here post-COVID-19 lockdown, and the experience was pretty decent. Due to the ongoing virus, public amenities were closed, so couldn't explore much. The rooms were neat and spacious, and the check-in was pretty quick. If you're booking a room on a special occasion, the hotel welcomes you with a delicious complimentary pastry. The bathroom had a nice tub and complimentary Dermafique skincare products. Also, the room rent usually includes the breakfast buffet. Each morning, you are served a delicious spread of piping hot Indian and continental delicacies. Overall, a good place to live in luxury if you're in south Mumbai.
