Onnason is situated on a perfect position to enjoy a spectacular view, the area has been developed from ages ago for large resort hotels. Positioned right in the middle of the Okinawan main island, many world leaders stayed in the area during the Okinawa summit held in 2000.

The living room has a large sofa with a 52" TV, and the next to it is a Japanese style room with Ryukyu style tatami flooring. The other room is a western style room with a double size bed, and a PC space complete with a closet.

There is a kitchen island, fridge, rice cooker, pots, plates, etc, all you need to cook. You can go buy Okinawan ingredients to cook like a native or order in from King Tacos and get the Okinawan specialty Taco rice and have a party.

There is also a washing machine, and a bathroom dryer system so you can wash your clothes and have them dry by the next day.

Staying here feels like staying in a large apartment so you feel at home and it feels much more private than a hotel room which lends to a more relaxed feel. The furnishing are tasteful so you really feel the resort-ness of Onnamura, allowing you to escape the mundane day to day life that you are used to.

A suite at a hotel would cost way too much so many of us would pass that option up. Here you get all the feel of a suite but in a reasonable yet comparable spacious room.

The reason Coral Resort Okinawa ranks high in my books is not just the aforementioned facilities, but also that it’s only an hour away from central Naha city in Onnamura. Also even in Onnamura its situated on a high point and is a 11 story building so from the balcony you can look down on all of the surrounding area.

For those who come only for the beaches of Okinawa, rest assured as there is a beautiful beach only a 5 minute walk away called Moon Beach.

On the balcony are some deck chairs so you can experience the changing scenery of Onnamura while relaxing. On a day of good weather you can just take in the blue seas, sunsets, and night scene of Onnamura while in a laid back mood.

The bathroom boasts a very large window allowing you to have enjoy a bath while taking in all of the scenery above too. Here you can relax all your tired muscles from the day’s activities and recharge for the next day’s activities at full power!

There is also a private pool on the grounds, so those who didn’t get enough swimming or want to go swimming during when it’s too cold out can do so to their hearts content. There is also a large parking area with an electric gate that allows you to almost feel like you own one of the apartments in the building.

You can get to this amazing view at Mangimou by a short 15 minute drive.

Most travel on Okinawa is by car, but getting to the deep parts can easily take 4 hours by car from central Naha. The accommodations here are conveniently located for most of the main tourist attractions, such as Churaumi aquarium which is only an hour and half away, or the Maedamisaki Cape’s famous Ao no Doukutsu cave snorkeling point is only 10 minutes away. Onnamura is a cove which doesn’t get many high waves so it’s a great place to experience diving or even for those trying for a diving license.
