History buffs out there should already be familiar with the name Concord. Concord, Massachusetts, was originally home to Algonquin tribes who named the area “grassy plain.” The town itself was established in 1635 by a handful of British settlers, and just under a hundred years, the town grew to over a thousand people calling Concord home. The town is synonymous with the American Revolution as it is in Concord that the opening shots of the war started between British soldiers and colonists. In the 19th century, Concord became a place where many American literary greats spent their time, including Henry David Thoreau, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and Louisa May Alcott. And by the 20th century, the area became a hot spot for tourism for those interested in history and literature.
If you’re looking to check out the town, here are some of the best Airbnb vacation rentals in Concord, Massachusetts.
